Remembrance Of The Daleks DVD

Recently released on DVD is a special edition of Doctor Who - Remembrance Of The Daleks. Sylvester McCoy stars as the Doctor who must stop the Daleks from finding Time Lord technology. The DVD also contains commentary by Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred (Ace), cast and crew talking about the making of the story, accompanied by rare behind-the-scenes material. Featuring Simon Williams (Gilmore), Karen Gledhill (Alison),writer Ben Aaronovitch, script editor Andrew Cartmel and director Andrew Morgan. Cast and crew discuss ing the influences and references to other Doctor Who adventures that are spread throughout the story. Extended and Deleted Scenes - Unused scenes, introduced by Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred. Outtakes - Bloopers and gaffes from the recording of the story.

Doctor Who: 'Most successful sci-fi show ever'

The Guinness Book of Records has awarded Doctor Who the title of 'Most successful sci-fi show ever!' beating the likes of Star Trek.  The award was given to Russell T Davies at the Comic-con in San Diego on Sunday.

Tom Baker back as the Fourth Doctor

Tom Baker is returning as the Fourth Doctor in a series of audio adventures known collectively as Doctor Who: Hornets' Nest. His co-stars include Rula Lenska, Stephen Thorne and Michael Maloney. Richard Franklin is also onboard, reprising his role of Mike Yates who viewers last saw in 1974's Planet of the Spiders, the first story to feature Tom Baker as the Doctor.

The Master Returns!

John Simm is to reprise his role as The Master in the The End Of Time sporting a bleach blonde haircut. The Master was last seen in The Last Of The Time Lords dying in the Doctors arms after being shot by his wife. Like the Doctor's other arch enemies the Daleks, death isn't something that is going to stop the Master from causing trouble.
